Abstract

The Current Research Aims to Compare Elder and Non-Resident Caregivers In Both Positive Thinking Skills, Social Support, and Quality of Life. to Determine the Relationship Between Different Positive Thinking Skills In The Quality of Life of Both Elderly Males, and Older Females, to Ascertain The Ability of Positive Thinking Skills and Social Support to Predict The Quality of Life and Whether There is a Difference in Positive Thinking Skills and Social Support.Curriculum and Procedures: The Descriptive and Causal Correlation Method was Used.The Sample consisted of (142) elderly Males and Older Females from the governorates of Beni Suef and Minya, (123) Residents With Their Families (mean age 62,18. standard deviation 7,95), (19) Residents in Care Homes for The Elderly (average age 71,16. standard deviation 7,78).Tools: The Following Measures Were Applied: The Arab Scale of Positive Thinking. Prepared by Abdul Sattar Ibrahim, and The Scale of Social Support Prepared by Spender George Translated Promising for the Arab environment Afaf Abdel Fadi Daniel, and The Quality of Life of Elderly Prepared by The World Health Organization, the Arabization of The Boshra Ismail Ahmed.
يهدف البحث الحالي إلى المقارنة بين المسنين المقيمين في دور الرعاية وخارجها في کل من مهارات التفکير الايجابي، والمساندة الاجتماعية، وجودة الحياة. وتحديد علاقة مهارات التفکير الايجابي المختلفة بمکونات جودة الحياة لدى کل من المسنين ، والمسنات، والتحقق من مدى قدرة مهارات التفکير الايجابي ، والمساندة الاجتماعية على التنبؤ بجودة الحياة، وما إذا کان هناک اختلاف في مهارات التفکير الايجابي والمساندة الاجتماعية المنبئة بهذا عند المسنين المقيمين في دور الرعاية وخارجها. المنهج والإجراءات: تم استخدام المنهج الارتباطي الوصفي والمقارن السببي ، وتکونت العينة من (142) مسناً ومسنة من محافظتي بني سويف والمنيا ، (123) من المقيمين مع أسرهم (متوسط أعمارهم 62,18 ، وانحراف معياري 7,95) ، ( 19 ) من المقيمين في دور رعاية للمسنين ( متوسط أعمارهم 71,16، وانحراف معياري 7,78). وتم تطبيق المقاييس التالية: المقياس العربي للتفکير الايجابي اعداد د. عبد الستار إبراهيم ، ومقياس المساندة الاجتماعية اعداد Spender George ترجمه واعده للبيئة العربية عفاف عبد الفادي دانيال، ومقياس جودة حياة المسنين اعداد منظمة الصحة العالمية ، تعريب بشرى إسماعيل أحمد.
